originally from China, where he lived most of his forty-something years, Bill immigrated here via the US.  i was looking for the post office, Bill was heading that way.

the introduction of capitalism to the communist state is spawning an indelible imbalance for its people – the pace of change is occurring faster than can be assimilated and instead of integrating the past with the present, legacy is being usurped, creating fear amongst elders and a chasm between generations.

it’s been nearly three years since he’s visited China and his family; he figures he’ll eventually return there to live.
